　　南宋時期，杭州靈隱寺住這一位瘋癲和尚，人稱濟(jì)公，傳說為羅漢轉(zhuǎn)世。他本姓李，祖上乃宋太宗駙馬。濟(jì)公二十七歲出家，不戒酒肉，破衣拉撒，不知情者皆道其瘋癲，卻不知其實為得到高僧。濟(jì)公濟(jì)困扶危，懲治強梁，經(jīng)常用一些詼諧的小法術(shù)教訓(xùn)那些欺壓百姓、魚肉鄉(xiāng)民的奸佞惡霸。惡人提起他又恨又怕，百姓們則對濟(jì)公師父愛戴有佳。
　　1988年，電視連續(xù)劇《濟(jì)公》紅遍大江南北，主題歌“鞋兒破、帽兒破，身上的袈裟破……”更被廣為傳唱。1998年由北京本昌文化藝術(shù)傳播中心、格力電器股份公司、浙江有線電視臺、北京國安廣告總公司聯(lián)合制作的２０集電視連續(xù)劇《濟(jì)公游記》攝制完成，與觀眾闊別10年的濟(jì)公師父再次歸來。

　　本片改編自程文輝的自傳——《失明給我的挑戰(zhàn)》。
　　文輝（劉雅麗 飾）自幼失明，由家中女傭和姐帶大。因為眼睛的緣故，文輝自小便受到輕視，而和姐卻視她如親人一般，一直鼓勵她，陪伴她，開導(dǎo)她。當(dāng)和姐得知文輝想要和正常人一樣上學(xué)讀書時，她更是拿出畢生的積蓄來支持文輝。
　　文輝因成績優(yōu)異獲得了獎學(xué)金，可以有機(jī)會出國讀書，和姐更是不顧文輝家人的反對，一如既往地支持著這個堅韌的女孩。影片的結(jié)尾，當(dāng)文輝在機(jī)場和家人同和姐依依惜別時，和姐終按捺住了攙扶文輝的沖動，與她含淚道別……
